Here
you'll find answers to some of the most common questions
regarding the way the website works.
If after reading this page you are still having trouble,
post in the help
and welcome forum and someone will be happy to
take a more active role in assisting you.
Q - How much does it cost to join?
A - NOTHING! CameraClash is free
to join!
Q - How do the battles work?
A - To keep it short, two photographers are
each required to create a photo that illustrates the
same theme. There can be a different theme for eah
round. Each photgrapher attempts to convey that theme
in their own way.
Q - How much time do I have to submit my photo?
A - The length of time is determined
by the photographer that creates the battle. When
creating a battle you can choose any amount of time
from one to seven days. Keep in mind that once a photo
is posted, the clock starts ticking for the other
photographer! You may post your photo at any time
during your turn. Don't let time run out on you!
Q - How do I submit my photo?
A - If you are the creator of a battle,
as soon as another member joins your battle a button
will appear on the page for your battle which you
can click to upload you photo.
Q - How will I know what my theme is?
A - The themes are visible when you view
your battle. When creating a battle, you can choose
the themes for each round yourself or let the site
choose them for you randomly. When you view open
battles, the themes are visible. By joining a
battle, you are committing to the themes that were
chosen by the creator of that battle. Click
here to view a list of themes available.
Q - When does voting end for each battle?
A - Voting ends one week from the
time that the last photo in a battle is posted.
Q - What do I get for winning a battle?
A - Normal, everyday battles at CameraClash
are just for fun. We also have a Battle
Royale where we give away prizes. Click
here for elegibility requirements.
Q - Who judges our photos?
A - For regular battles, each member
of the website is able to vote on each photo once.
The Battle Royale
is only voted on by our panel of three judges who
are not allowed to compete in the Battle
Royale.
Q - How do I create a battle?
A - Simply click the "Create
A Battle' button in the stats area on the right-hand
side of any page once you have logged in. After you've
clicked the button, just follow the instructions for
each step to create your battle. You can also click
"Battles" in the
main navigation and then choose "Create A Battle"
further down the page.

"Open Battles"
button to view battles that are waiting for a challenger.

Q - Why are some of the forum topics blue?
A - Topics that are blue contain messages
that have been posted since you last logged in. In
your stats area (on the right-hand side of every page)
you will see notifications if there are new forum
posts, new photos to vote on or new private messages
for you.
Q - Can I post artistic nude photos on CameraClash?
A - CameraClash is a family-friendly website.
While we understand that art comes in many forms,
we try our best to refrain from content that some
may find objectionable.
Q - Can I submit a photo that I have taken
in the past?
A - While there is no way for us to stop
you from doing so, CameraClash was designed to get
you out there and shooting! Taking a new photo for
each round of every battle is a great way to stay
creative.
Q - Can I sell my photos on CameraClash?
A - CameraClash is not designed for photo
sales. We may look into that option in the future.
Q - Does it matter what kind of camera I have?
A - Not at all! Just like we have members
at every level of skill, our members use everything
from DSLR's to camera phones to create photos. A great
camera doesn't make a great photographer, taking great
photos does!
