Camera Clash is a website
designed for photographers of any level of ability. As we've been told all of
our lives, practice makes perfect. Camera Clash gives you a reason to pick up
your camera more often.
Not only can you battle
other photographers, but participate in our forums to
learn from others and share your knowledge.
The idea is really very simple:
Once you've created
a free account, you are able to create and join battles. Creating a battle
is as simple as filling out a form. Simply choose a title for your battle, how
many rounds of play (1, 3 or 5) and the amount of time each player has to post
their photo. You can choose to have the system pick the themes
for each round for you or you can select the themes
yourself from the list.
Once you've created a battle,
you can see the status once you've logged in at the top right corner of every
page. The battle will be listed as "Open" until someone accepts your
challenge and then it will be listed as a "Live" battle.
Once another player has
joined your battle, you have the number of days (1 - 7) that you have chosen
to post a photo for the theme of that round. All photos must be in .jpg format
and no larger than 2MB in size. Our system will automatically create the thumbnail
images to display and an 800 x 600 version for people to get a closer look at
your work. Thumbnails of the submissions are displayed beneath each battle on
the "View Battle" page. It is highly
recommended that you resize your photos down to 900 x 675 before uploading to
ensure that there are no problems!
Once you have posted your
photo, it is up for review by the community. Each member can vote once on each
photo. Photos are scored on a 1 to 5 scale on three criteria:
- True to theme
How well does the photo represent the theme for that round?
- Composition
Quality counts! Our goal is to help you become a better photographer.
- Creativity
Have fun with it! That's what this site is really about!
Voting remains open for one week after the last photo in a battle has been
posted and then the votes are tallied and the winner declared! Take a look at
